Poker Profiles: Nam Le
Tuan Le introduced his cousin, Nam Le, to the glittering world of Poker. Once he learned the ins and outs of the game, however, Nam was certainly left on his own. In a young yet fruitful Poker career that has given him over $3 million of wealth, he has showed the world that he sure has what it takes to win!
Although he has Vietnamese blood, Nam was born and raised in the United States, specifically in Irvine, California. That is where he spent practically his entire life. As mentioned above, his interest in Poker was sparked by his cousin Tuan who is already a stable name in the gambling circuit. Tuan taught Nam what Poker is all about. He also shared with him some secrets of his successes. But that was the only contribution the senior player has made in Nam's career. From that point onwards, all that is working is purely Nam's skill. He played based on what Tuan taught him but he also made numerous adjustments so his playing style fits his personality.
Nam was not a recognizable name until 2006, when he almost made a killing at the Card Player magazine's Player of the Year rankings. Although he only placed second next to Michael Mizrachi, there is nothing that Nam should be sad about. His World Poker Tour title is more than enough to keep him happy and keep him playing in the years to come. Since the fourth season's Bay 101 Shooting Star event was his first major win, it will surely be written in history. That is what all that matters. Now that Nam has already made a swift entry, it would be a lot easier to topple off his own records some time in the future.
Nam is serious about Poker. You can see it through his eyes. In most of the photographs seen of him Internet-wide, Nam is never keeping his concentration away from the Poker table. He is always focused, always into the game. That, for sure will keep him alive in this very wide battle arena. Being able to keep his name afloat in a stream that bears many famous names is one achievement that a newbie like Nam could boast of. Yet, he remains humble. For him, Poker is a serious business. Every thing that he will earn from it must be worked hard for. That is why he keeps on educating himself on how he can manage to win most of the time. No, he is not resting on what Tuan has already showed him. Nam is certainly on his way to Poker greatness!
